Pocket Properties purchased this fixer upper home in 2022, with intentions of renovating and turning into a short-term rental property. The most significant update was to add a fourth bedroom with potential to be used as an office and bonus room. By raising the sunken floors and adding walls/a glass door, the space was made more useful in the long run. Both bathrooms were completely updated with new vanities, light fixtures, toilets and bath/shower tile. We also updated the kitchen with new cabinets, light fixtures, backsplash tile, floating shelves and quartz countertops. This freshened the space and made it feel more bright and open.
Our favorite part of this project was the transformation of the existing outdated fireplace, into a modern concrete floor to ceiling fireplace with a custom wood mantle. This accented the existing tall ceilings and brought a touch of modern to the cozy living room. We also love the change in the yard with fresh hydroseeding and removal of dead trees, which really refreshed the space and made it the perfect outdoor living extension of the property.
